This program introduces participants to the trade lifecycle for Fixed Income products, including government securities, corporate and municipal bonds, and MBS products. Also included is the lifecycle of a repo. Participants follow the sequence of activity that occurs “behind the scenes” on trade date once a trade is executed through the final exchange of assets on settlement date.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the critical functional areas related to moving fixed income trades forward to settlement
- Distinguish types of operational risks that have a potential impact on the firm and its customers, as well as the industry as a whole
- Analyze the various sources of trade costs.
